Hey pastors this ones for you. Too often we treat the people in our churches like this. We want them to serve, invite their friends, sacrifice their finances, and essentially do what we asked them to. In the words of Ezekiel in this passage, we drink the milk and wear the wool. Are we guilty of not feeding the sheep? Yes, they must make milk and wool—come, serve, give, invite —but they must be fed in order to be healthy. Maybe this is why Jesus in the great commission told us to “teach them to obey”? I know I’ve been guilty of this. I also know my peers are too. We must not neglect the pasture God has given us. We must feed the sheep.

These might just look like legs to you, but not to me. Today I received a clean bill of health and a "job well done" from my Orthopaedics Doctor. 367 days ago I ruptured Achilles tendon. Throughout the year, four months of which were spent either in a cast or a walking boot there were some dark moments. The biggest struggle was in my head. Suffering two physically debilitating injuries in a wrong left me physically weak, emotionally tired, and mentally drained. I am thankful for those moments of light—friends, accomplishments, my wife and kids, and hobbies—that helped keep my head above the water. Today is a new day. 100% healed! Just legs to you, but it's the world to me.
